Of 2 911 new coronavirus cases, 1 056 were detected in Tbilisi

As of today, 2 911 new cases have been proven positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. It was announced by Alexandre Khojevanishvili, Head of Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held at the Government Administration today.

He has named the locations where 2 911 new coronavirus cases revealed in the past 24 hours.

The locations are as follows: Tbilisi - 1 056, Adjara - 476, Imereti - 469, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 294, Kvemo Kartli - 201, Shida Kartli - 134, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 92, Guria - 76, Kakheti - 69, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 25, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 19.


As of today, Georgia has 16 158 active COVID-19 cases. In total, 631 coronavirus patients are in a serious state, of those, 308 have been put on artificial ventilation.
