The National Food Agency [NFA] has uncovered an illegal poultry slaughterhouse in Senaki.
"Inspectors from the Samegrelo Department inspected a poultry (quail) slaughterhouse belonging to individual entrepreneur M.N. (Address: 27, 22nd Street, Nosiri, Senaki) as part of state control measures.
During the inspection, critical non-compliances and the unauthorized slaughter of quails without veterinary supervision were revealed at the facility.
At the same time, it was found that the business operator was operating without mandatory official recognition and registration in the Registry of Economic Activities.
In accordance with the law, the business operator was fined, and their production process was suspended. The National Food Agency urges entrepreneurs to conduct their activities in compliance with legal requirements, refrain from producing food without proper recognition, and adhere to food safety standards", - reads the statement of NFA.
