In accordance with the decision and recommendations made by the Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country, the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will temporarily suspend the provision of certain services from November 30 and switch to different modes of operation.
Under the new regulations, citizens will be temporarily unable to take the theoretical and practical test for obtaining a driving license, except for those who have booked the day of the theoretical test or passed the theoretical test and are to take practical one. They are allowed to use the relevant services every day, except weekends. In addition, persons who have suspended the right to drive a vehicle and are willing to restore it, will be admitted to the tests without booking an electronic queue.
Procedures related to the registration of firearms are also temporarily suspended.
In addition, from November 30, the procedure for inspecting motor vehicles outside the structural unit of the Service Agency will be restricted, except for the official customs warehouse zone and the territory of the official representative of the vehicle manufacturer (dealer / center) of the companies.
Also, citizens will temporarily not be able to use services in Akhalkalaki and Ambrolauri service centers.
According to the new work schedule, citizens can apply to the Service Agency for customs clearance, re-export, export and registration procedures of the vehicle only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
As for the certificates issued by the Service Agency, the application can be received only electronically, through the website of the Service Agency (sa.gov.ge).
The finished document will be issued from the structural unit indicated in the application only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
In addition, we urge not to apply to the service centers of the Service Agency, except in case of urgency, and in case of appeal, refrain from accompanying outsiders.
