Ministry of Internal Affairs seized illegal firearm and ammunition in Kakheti

The officers of Sagarejo police division under Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative and operative activities, detained one person in Lambalo village. M.S. (DoB 1979) is accused of illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and ammunition.

Committed crime envisages from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.

As a result of the search activities held in detainee’s house, law enforcers seized automatic weapon of “Kalashnikov” AK-74 with a cartridge and 30 magazines.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and ammunition, article 236, III part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
