The officers of Old Tbilisi police division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities, detained L.K. (DoB 1990) for violence.

Committed crime envisages up to 1 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that in Tbilisi, on the territory of Circus, detainee verbally and physically assaulted transgender woman on the basis of gender identity intolerance. The mentioned incident was reported to police by the victim.

Law enforcers detained L.K. soon after the incident.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of violence committed on the basis of gender identity intolerance, Article 126, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
