The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the possible engagement of an 11-year-old girl

On February 8 of the current year, a video was spread through the social media regarding the possible engagement of an 11-year-old girl.

The Main Division of Juveniles Affairs of the Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs made immediate response after the video was released and launched an investigation under Article 150, part 2, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisaging the forced marriage of a minor.

In order to establish the circumstances captured in the disseminated video material, all relevant investigative and procedural measures are carried out regarding the mentioned criminal case.
