Employees of Kutaisi Police Division of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kutaisi unit response team of Imereti-Guria Regional Security Police Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained previously convicted V.Kh.(DoB 1978), for the attempted theft as a result of jointly held operative and investigative activities.

The committed crime envisages from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused person damaged several fast transaction machines located on Ilia Chavchavadze Street, Kutaisi and attempted to rob the “Bank of Georgia” branch located on the same street, in the course of which he was arrested by police at the scene.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted theft committed through illegal entry into a parking lot or other repository- crime envisaged under the under 19-177, Part II, Subparagraph “B” and Part III, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
