According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, rehabilitation works on a 7.8 km section [km51-km58] of the Koda–Partskhisi–Manglisi–Tsalka–Ninotsminda road are currently underway.
The rehabilitation section mainly passes through an uninhabited area. This section was damaged and urgently required rehabilitation for the safe and comfortable movement of motor vehicles.
According to the project, a complete rehabilitation of the road is planned. This includes the installation of asphalt-concrete pavement, road shoulders, and artificial structures.
Junctions and connections will also be constructed. Road signs will be installed and horizontal road marking of the carriageway will be carried out.
The project is financed from the state budget, and its cost is up to GEL 12.9 million. The completion of the works is planned for 2027.
