The officers of Old Tbilisi Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested B.G. (DoB 1994) wanted for premeditated murder.

The investigation established that on May 29 of the current year, on Uznadze Street in Tbilisi, near the “Abkhazian Education Center”, the detainee wounded L.S. (DoB 1999) with a cold steel and fled the scene.

As a result of operative and investigative activities, the law enforcers soon identified the accused, and on May 31 of the current year, B.G. was charged in absentia. On June 2, based on the relevant Court and Prosecutor’s decision B.G. was declared as wanted.

The accused person was detained by the law enforcers in Tbilisi after operative-investigative activities.

The investigation is underway under Article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates attempted premeditated murder which envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Detained B.G. has been placed in a penitentiary facility.
