Zurab and Shalva Tsotsoria, the father and son who were detained in connection with the case of bringing Mikheil Saakashvili to Georgia, were sentenced to imprisonment as a measure of restraint.

The decision was announced by Tbilisi City Court Judge Giorgi Gelashvili.

The Prosecutor’s office demanded the use of the harshest measure of restraint against the accused, while the defense demanded that the detainee be released without a measure of restraint, and offered the court 5,000 - 5,000 GEL bail as an alternative.
