Batumi residential building, part of which collapsed on October 8, to be fully dismantled. According to the Batumi City Hall, the surrounding buildings will be inspected in stages.

“The transfer of apartments will be negotiated with citizens. After negotiations with the affected residents, the City Hall will take appropriate measures, I mean allocating a housing fund or building a house.

At this stage, we are considering to offer them apartments. Funds have already been mobilized in the reserve fund”, - reads the statement of the Batumi City Hall.

As Ednar Nataridize, the Head of the Batumi City Hall’s Financial Service, said, half a million GEL will be allocated to carry out the demolition.
