The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained K.S. (DoB 1985) as a result of operative and investigative activities for premeditated murder.

The committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on October 28 of the current year, in the village of Sakire, Borjomi Municipality, the detainee fatally shot his fellow villager - V.Kh. (DoB1981) who died at the place of crime. The incident took place in the yard of the detainee’s house, on the grounds of jealousy. After the murder, K.S. injured his wife – T.G. (DoB 1991) with a cold steel. The injured woman was transferred to the clinic where appropriate treatment is being provided to her.

The law enforcers, as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities arrested K.S. minutes after the incident, he was arrested near his house. Police seized the weapons of crime - a knife and a shotgun - as evidence.

The fact of premeditated murder is being investigated under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
