As a result of the search of B.K’s residential house detained by Gori District Division of Shida Kartli Police Department, police seized Kalashnikov automatic firearm, magazine and 171 ammunition cartridges as evidence.

The officers of Kaspi District Division arrested previously convicted L.S. (DoB 1982) in Kaspi municipality. Police seized TT-type firearm, a magazine and 12 cartridges as evidence during search activities held in his residential house.

Employees of Borjomi District Division of Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department arrested N.M. near the village of Chobiskhevi in Borjomi Municipality, who was stopped while driving in order to conduct inspection. As a result of his personal search, the police seized “Saiga” firearm with magazine and 10 ammunition cartridges as evidence.

As for previously convicted G.V. (DoB 1980), the officers of the Detectives Division of Guria Police Department, as a result of search activities held in his residential house seized F-1 hand grenades and a fuse.

The officers of Tskaltubo District Division of Imereti Police Department confiscated an AK-74 automatic firearm, a magazine and two ammunition cartridges as evidence during a search of the place of temporary residence of A.B. (DoB 1982).

The Officers of Telavi District Division of Kakheti Police Department seized an F-1 hand grenade as evidence as a result of a search activities held in Z.L’s (DoB 1957) residential house, yard and storage facility.

The officers of Kvareli District Division of the Kakheti Police Department seized F-1 hand grenade as evidence during a search of the house of the detained A.Kh., based on a judge’s decision.

The officers of Sighnaghi District Division of Kakheti Police Department detained A. G. (DoB1971. During the search activities held in his residential house, policemen seized 2 unregistered firearms - a Nagan-type firearm and a small-caliber hunting rifle as evidence.

The officers of Gurjaani District Division seized 1 firearm as evidence during the search of Z.T’s house and storage facility.

The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department seized a firearm and 17 cartridges during the personal search of Z.P. (DoB 1966) as evidence, while during the search activities held in the residential house of I.L. (DoB 1976) policemen seized Tiger and TOZ rifles, 5 magazines, 61 ammunition cartridges and an acoustic pistol.

The officers of Poti Police Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department seized a pistol as a result of a personal search of A.G. (DoB 1991).

During the search activities held in the residential house of another detainee, L.A. (DoB 1994), officers of Tbilisi Police Department seized 193 ammunition cartridges for various types of weapons.

Investigation on the facts of illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition is underway under Article 236, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
