Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Zurab Azarashvili visited National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
He conducted meeting with Director General of National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze and personally heard prognosis regarding spread of new variant, Omicron.
Azarashvili observed Richard Lugar Center and discussed with the personnel ongoing projects and future plans. Minister pledged support and stated that the role of NCDC in fight against the pandemic is of paramount importance.
“The role of NCDC in fight against the pandemic is of paramount importance. They also have a very important role in terms of prevention and control of various diseases. We reflected on future plans together with the employees and discussed which components may require more active involvement from the side of the Ministry. They will have all the support from me”, - said Minister.
