The fact of re-infection with Omicron has not been confirmed in Georgia. Such a statement made today the Head of the National Center for Disease Control at the briefing after meeting of the Coordination Council.

Besides, according to Amiran Gamkrelidze, 4019 pregnant women got infected with coronavirus in January.

“Pregnant women account for 1% of all infections. Unfortunately, in 2021 we had cases of deaths. A study is now underway to find out how many pregnant women died directly from coronavirus”, - added the Head of the NCDC.
