Police have arrested 1 person in Kutaisi on fraud charges

The officers of Kutaisi City Police Division under Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities and on the basis of the relevant court decision, arrested D.S.(DoB 1987) in Kutaisi for a large-scale fraud.

The committed crime envisions from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused female, at different times, fraudulently appropriated a large amount of cash belonging to several citizens – up to 50,000 GEL.

The investigation is in progress under Article 180, Part II, Subparagraph "B" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisions fraud committed in large quantities.
