Zurab Azarashvili pays official visit to the USA. The Minister of Health participated at the Third Annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Universal Health Coverage and Global Health.

Within the Ministerial, Azarashvili conducted a tripartite meeting with the WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Don Pramudwinai.

The participants of the meeting reflected on COVID pandemic, its outcomes and expectations.

As stated by WHO Director General, COVID-19 has experienced significant regress over time. It has become an endemic for the society and will remain in the population as a seasonal flu.
