Georgian Foreign Minister thanked the Romanian Parliament for adopting a resolution on the European perspective of Georgia.
“Many thanks to the Romanian Parliament for adopting a resolution on the European Perspective of Georgia. We highly appreciate your support for our country, especially at such a decisive moment on the EU accession path”, - tweeted Ilia Darchiashvili.
The resolution on the European perspective of Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Western Balkans was adopted at a plenary session of the Romanian Parliament and emphasised that Romania, as a strategic partner of Georgia, confirmed its strong support for the country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Romanian Parliament “strongly” supported the progress of European integration of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, called for continued European support so that “Georgia can take further steps on the path of European integration, including receiving the status of a candidate for EU membership”.
