Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II expressed sorrow over the Prague shooting in his condolence letter sent to the head of the Czechia church.

“We are deeply saddened by the December 21 horrible shooting. Please, extend my sympathy to the families of the victims, the Czech people.

We pray for the recovery of the injured and ask God to bring peace to the world”, - reads his letter.

A student opened fire Thursday at the Karl University in the center of Prague, killing 14 people and injuring 25, based on the verified information. The Czech Republic declared December 23 as Mourning Day.
