Giorgi Khubua becomes the Rector of Kutaisi International University

Giorgi Khubua becomes the Rector of Kutaisi International University [KIU]. He was introduced to the administration and academic staff by the Minister of Education, Science and Youth Giorgi Amilakhvari.

Professor Giorgi Khubua, PhD in legal science, has years-long experience in academic work. In different periods, he served as Rector of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, Director and Research Fellow of the Institute of State and Law at the Academy of Sciences of Georgia. He has authored more than 40 scientific works, including seven monographs and one textbook.

Having admitted the first intake of students in the fall of 2020, KIU presently has over 1,200 students. KIU collaborates with the Technical University of Munich (TUM International GmbH and TUM), a leading European school of higher education.
