Tengiz Tsertsvadze, General Director of the Center for Infectious Pathology, AIDS and Clinical Immunology, passed away.
Immunologist, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, founder of the HIV/AIDS service in Georgia, died at the age of 76 as a result of illness.
Tengiz Tsertsvadze was a member of the American Society of Infectious Diseases, as well as a member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, the European Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the New York Academy of Sciences. He was a Knight of the Presidential Order of Excellence, as well as a Knight of the Order of Merit.
