The employees of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative activities, detained M.K. (DoB 1983) for premeditated murder.

The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that in Martvil municipality the accused person, on the basis of mutual dispute, wounded his neighborhood - J.K. (DoB 1964) by a shot from a hunting rifle. As a result of the injuries J.K. died at the scene.

As a result of the immediate investigative actions, the law enforcement officers arrested the accused person. The police seized the weapon of crime - a hunting rifle - as evidence.

The investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is ongoing under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
