In the settlement of Mukhiani, the first phase of the “Radio City” project will be completed in a few days. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“In the settlement of Mukhiani, the first phase of the development project of the area of the former radio factory will be completed in a few days. This was one of our pre-election promises. We had a project called “Radio City” and it consisted of many directions. There were cafes, bars, intellectual and recreational spaces, as well as sports spaces.

We wanted the business to implement the mentioned project. In 2019, we announced an auction, where the winning company was “Industrial City” LLC (a company included in the “Adjara Group”), we signed an agreement by which the company was given ownership of the territory of the former radio factory, for which it paid more than GEL 23 million. Of course, the company has obligations, what should be done and what project should be implemented.

The territory of Radio City covers 12 hectares, the total investment of the project is up to 90 million GEL, of which 43 million GEL has already been spent. This project consists of three stages.

The first part of the mentioned project will be completed in a few days. In the following days, we will have the opportunity to visit the site and inspect it. Radio City will bring together more than 10 industries, more than 35 sectors and support more than 200 economic activities, creating many opportunities for the local population. Radio City will become a gathering place for technological startups, educational programs, tech companies, local and international organizations.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the exchange of knowledge and new connections between professionals in different fields. D Block common work space, restaurant and padel courts have already been arranged in the area. The works should be completed by the end of 2025. The municipality welcomes the implementation of the said project. One of our promises was to implement this project together with business, and I am very glad that we are moving forward in this direction”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
