Court fines David Kirtadze GEL 500 for pouring black paint on Giorgi Kalandarishvili

Davit Kirtadze, UNM’s representative in the Central Election Commission [CEC], was fined GEL 500 for splashing black ink on the chairman of the CEC, Giorgi Kalandarishvili during the announcement of the final summary protocol. The judge - David Tsekvava - considered the case on an expedited basis.

As the lawyer said, in this case it was not possible to correctly determine the actions for which Kirtadze should be held accountable.

On November 16, at the session of the CEC, the representative of the National Movement, David Kirtadze, painted black paint on the Chairman of the CEC, Giorgi Kalandarishvili. Based on the appeal of the CEC, the Ministry of Internal Affairs started an investigation under Article 118 of the Criminal Law Code, which refers to intentional less severe damage to health.
