The employees of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA] detained 1 person - S.J., born in 2006 - with the charge of attacking the police.

The investigation established that the accused, who was armed with a knife, attacked an employee of the MIA on November 30, 2024, during the rally on Rustaveli Avenue, in order to injure his health.

As a result of the conducted investigative actions, S.J. was arrested in Tbilisi.

The incident is being investigated under the first part of Article 353 of the Criminal Code.

In the MIA, within the framework of the current actions, all criminal acts committed by violent groups are being investigated under articles 187 and 353 prima of the Criminal Code, within the framework of which 7 persons have been arrested at the moment. Also, 7 persons are detained under Articles 225 and 239 of the Criminal Code, which means organizing, leading or participating in group violence and publicly calling for violent actions. 1 person has been arrested on charges of preparing an explosion.
