“I arrived in Georgia yesterday. The Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the European Winter Olympic Festival “Bakuriani 2025”, Mamuka Khabareli, took me to the ski slopes, where the atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone greeted us with smiles, wearing beautiful uniforms, and I felt at home.

The Georgian people are warm and hospitable, which is very important because everyone here should feel at home. The new facilities are excellent and meet the highest standards. The presentation of the commemorative coin, introduced by the President of the National Bank, was an emotional moment.

We experienced the same thing 10 years ago when you hosted the European Summer Youth Olympic Festival. It was a very successful event, which is why we decided to hold the Winter Olympic Festival in Georgia. I am confident that your young athletes will have the opportunity to discover new winter sports and that new champions will emerge”, - said Spyros Capralos.
