Georgian Paralympic Fencing Team wins 6 medals in Brazil

The Georgian women’s wheelchair fencing team has returned home from São Paulo, Brazil with 6 medals from the World Cup competition. Family members and supporters greeted the triumphant para-fencers at the airport.

Irma Khetsuriani claimed gold in the sabre event. At the same tournament, she also secured a silver medal in foil fencing. Nina Tibilashvili contributed 2 medals to the team’s success, winning gold in the sabre and bronze in the foil competition. Gvantsa Zadishvili has added 2 medals to her collection, securing silver medals in both sabre and foil events.
