By the decision of the Government, the Georgian national handball team will be awarded a cash prize of GEL 1 million for qualifying for the European Championship.

According to the Administration of the Government, the relevant decree was signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

As it known, the Georgian national handball team defeated the Greek national team [with a score of 29–26] today in a decisive match held at Tbilisi Arena and earned the right to compete in the European Championship for the second consecutive time.
