It is not my business to tell the Georgians or this party or another party what they should do. Such a statement made today the EU Ambassador to Georgia.
"As an EU ambassador in Georgia, my responsibility is to inform the public about EU-Georgia relations, it is not my business to tell the Georgians this party or another party what they should do. What I can tell, however, is that we regret that for many months now, Georgia has been in a deep political crisis. And we regret to see that Georgia is not progressing on the way towards EU membership like other candidate countries.
Unfortunately, what is happening is precisely the opposite. The distance between the EU and Georgia is growing. This is regrettable. This is not what we wanted. We were really happy and proud when Georgia was granted finally the status of a candidate country. But since then, since over a year, instead of getting closer, in order to very quickly become a member of the EU, unfortunately, Georgia is drifting away", - said Paweł Herczyński.
