In connection with the Chorchana episode, former Minister of Defense was questioned at the Prosecutor General’s Office. As Levan Izoria said after leaving the office, he did not have information regarding the Chorchana case and stated this during the interrogation.

“The main question was whether I was informed about the so-called Chorchana episode. My answer was that I had no information about this, including not within the framework of unofficial, personal communication, and even more so not within the framework of a formal format, whether it would have been a government session, especially if there had been no such discussion within the framework of the Security Council.

In 2019, namely in April, the Security Council was created, and no session was held on this topic, which is very important and related to the security of the country”, - said Levan Izoria.

The investigation is ongoing under articles of sabotage and assistance in hostile activities against Georgia. The Chorchana episode is part of this case.
