The Tbilisi Development Fund [TDF] is set to undertake the restoration of a residential house at No. 184 on David Agmashenebeli Avenue, designated as a cultural heritage monument. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“The historic building in question is currently home to approximately 30 families. It’s technical condition is serious and necessitates urgent rehabilitation measures. The TDF acquired the original restoration project for the property on Agmashenebeli Avenue in 2015. However, given the current state of disrepair and the deterioration over the years, the project now requires updates and further technical assessments. Consequently, both the design and cost estimates will be revised.

Based on existing engineering and technical assessments, the building is experiencing extensive damage… Both the main structural components and elements, such as balconies, glass partitions, and parts of the basement, are compromised, posing a risk to the building’s stability and the safety of its residents.

Work will commence once the technical documentation has been completed. The TDF will then issue a tender for the rehabilitation works, and full-scale restoration of the building will follow”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
