German Master of Wine Janek Schumann presented Georgian wine in 3 German cities

With financial support from the National Wine Agency and organized by its contractor marketing company, ff.k Public Relations, Georgian wine masterclasses and tastings were held in the German cities of Hamburg, Erfurt, and Bernkastel-Kues.

The events were led by German Master of Wine and wine marketing expert Janek Schumann. The presentation of Georgian wine by a highly qualified professional in Germany’s wine industry will significantly contribute to strengthening its position in the German wine market.

The events in Germany attracted a total of around 100 participants, including sommeliers, importers, and representatives of the wine business and HoReCa sectors.

The National Wine Agency began cooperating with the German company ff.k Public Relations in 2021 to promote Georgian wine and increase its export potential. As part of the campaign, tastings and seminars are held in various German cities for wine professionals, wine trade representatives, and consumers. Georgian wine is also showcased at international exhibitions, targeted advertising and media campaigns are conducted, and wine tours to Georgia are organized for media representatives, sommeliers, and sales professionals.

Sales of Georgian wine in Germany continue to grow. Between January and September of this year, Georgia exported nearly 1.14 million litres of wine to Germany, a 28% increase compared to the same period last year.
