The Prime Minister of Georgia criticized the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly [PA] over a recent declaration concerning Georgia, saying the organization has “fallen to the level of Congressman Joe Wilson”.

“It is a very tragic development. The text does not even deserve an assessment. Unfortunately, documents like this weaken the trust of Georgian society not only toward the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly but also toward the OSCE as a whole.

We see that the OSCE PA has descended to Joe Wilson’s level. This is a very tragic development. We will draw the appropriate conclusions from this act”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The OSCE PA adopted on July 8 a critical resolution on Georgia drafted by US Congressman Joe Wilson.
