Work is actively underway to prepare the feasibility study for the new Tbilisi International Airport. The study is being conducted by the international consulting company amd.sigma strategic airport development GmbH. Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, held a meeting with representatives of the company.
The parties discussed the optimal development model for the new Tbilisi International Airport. Attention was also focused on the main directions of future cooperation. Within the framework of the visit, the amd.sigma team will hold meetings with representatives of various government agencies, as well as airlines and organizations operating at Tbilisi International Airport.
amd.sigma was selected through an international tender announced by the Asian Development Bank. It is a Berlin-based international consulting company specializing in strategic airport development, planning, and feasibility studies.
Since 2019, amd.sigma has been a part of Munich Airport International (MAI) and implements airport development projects worldwide, drawing on the experience and international resources of the Munich Airport Group.
The meeting with the company`s representatives at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze and the Head of the United Airports of Georgia, Levan Moseshvili.
