Head of Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia held a working meeting with the heads of the regional structural divisions of the Investigation Department.

At the meeting, Merab Gamkrelidze heard detailed information on the situation in the regions, measures implemented to combat crimes, statistics and crime solving rates.

Together with the heads of the regional divisions, he discussed the existing opportunities and challenges in terms of crime detection and effective investigation, as well as prevention of offenses. According to the Head of Investigation Service, one of the key priorities of the Service is to effectively combat financial and economic crimes in the regions, ensure their timely detection and conduct high-quality investigations. According to him, it is crucial to make the most effective use of available resources in this direction.

At the meeting, the future priorities of the Service and ways to improve the performance of regional divisions were also discussed. The Head of Investigation Service gave relevant assignments to the heads of structural units and stressed the importance of further improving the effectiveness of their work.

The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the Investigation Department of Investigation Service.
