The entry of a brand of Cipriani`s caliber into the country sets a new benchmark for the development of the hospitality sector and premium real estate. At the same time, this investment once again confirms that Georgia is a reliable and attractive destination for foreign investors. It was stated by Prime Minister of Georgia during his speech at the presentation of the Cipriani Batumi project.
The Head of Government of Georgia emphasized the importance of the project for further economic growth and the creation of employment opportunities for the local population, wishing the investors every success.
"Today, together, we are laying the foundation for Cipriani Batumi, a luxury residential and hotel complex. Cipriani is a brand with nearly a century of history, founded in Venice in 1931 and renowned for its exceptional standards of service across 19 cities worldwide. I am delighted that, alongside New York, London, Monte Carlo, Dubai, Miami and other cities, this world-class brand will now also have a presence in Batumi. This is truly a source of pride for us.
This investment once again confirms that Georgia is a reliable and attractive destination for foreign investors. Our economic indicators are clear evidence of this. Without sound economic policies and favorable economic trends, projects of this scale would not be possible.
We are proud to have the fastest-growing economy in Europe. Over the past five years, our average economic growth rate has been 9.3%, a figure that speaks for itself. Naturally, projects of this kind will contribute to the continued development and growth of our economy", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Head of Government of Georgia also expressed his gratitude to Orbi Group and Block Group for their significant contributions to the country`s economic development, noting that the companies have collectively invested over 5 billion USD and employ approximately 15 000 people.
The Prime Minister congratulated the event`s guest of honor, world football legend Ronaldinho, on acquiring a property in the new development and expressed hope that he would frequently visit Georgia and Batumi.
The event also featured speeches by Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara; Giuseppe Cipriani, Head of Cipriani; Irakli Kvergelidze, CEO of Orbi Group and Tornike Janashvili, Managing Partner of Block Group.
To mark the commencement of construction, a symbolic time capsule was placed in the foundation of the project.
The CEO of Orbi Group presented a symbolic key to Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who became the first owner of a residence at Cipriani Batumi. The presentation of the project was attended by Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, as well as members of the executive and legislative authorities of the country.
