At the initiative of Poti chess school an international festival named after international grandmaster Nana Alexandriain has been held for the 11th year. This year the competition was renamed and it is now called Poti International Festival.

The UNM members protested against this and say that it was a political decision to rename the tournament. Nana Alexandria, is a mother of one of the leaders of the National Movement, Giga Bokeria.
