A Minister of Economy has met with a Minister of Commerce of China. The sides have discussed finalization of a free trade agreement before the two countries. They have also discussed the prospects of further cooperation, including a new concept of the new Silk Road.

Georgia is the first country in the region with which China has signed a free trade agreement.
