Some civil society groups do not rule out tensions at repeat voting and second tour runoffs.

In their view, in order to prevent the tension and hold the elections in a peaceful situation it is necessary to undertake appropriate preventive measures.

"We are expecting straining of situation at the polling stations, where the results of votes for candidates are very close ," - said the Transparency International - Georgia Executive Director, Eka Gigauri.

They also urged the CEC to correct the procedural flaws that were revealed in the first round.
