As promised starting from the first month of next year, teachers` average salary will be increase. The statement was made by the Education Minister Alexander Jejelava.

According to him, the funds have been set aside in the budget for 2017 and an average salary will be 800 lari starting from January.

"The increase in the salaries of teachers, as was promised will be accurately reflected in next year"s budget which means that starting from the first month of next year teachers` salaries will be increased and the average salary of teachers from next year will reach 800 GEL, "- said Alexander Jejelava.
