Vice Speaker Tamar Chugoshvili talked about the importance of media freedom and the Rustavi 2 trial scheduled for tomorrow. Chugoshvili said that it would be if the session had not been scheduled so early. She spoke about media freedom issue with the US Assistant Secretary of State.

"We underlined that a free media is essential for any democratic state. We have not spoken specifically, we talked generally about the importance of maintaining a high niche of freedom of the media in the country. I would wish that the session was not scheduled so early , but it is a prerogative of the court",- said Chugoshvili.
