Whether the irreparable damage will be inflicted on Georgia`s democracy - the opposition believe that the answer to this question depends on the decision by the Supreme Court.
The ruling party has once again denied allegations of Rustavi 2 regarding the government involvement in the current situation.
According to them, the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court is the country`s highest body of legitimation, so question marks are not justified.
"This is a very important subject given the fact that whether it is Rustavi2 or any other television and broadcasting, their pluralism, their liberty is very important. I have no information regarding the involvement of the government. It would be wrong to say anything about it. Important for me to have a high degree of independence of the judiciary, "- said Viktor Dolidze.
The opposition talks about government interference in the judicial process. The fact that the Rustavi 2 was passed over to the Grand Chamber means that several judges could not be subjucated by the government.
"The Supreme Court will be responsible for whether it gives in to Ivanishvili`s will," - said Giorgi Kandelaki.
