The confrontation took place in front of the City Hall between a council memberand students. Rustavi students are asking to introduce special students`tariffs, protests started after the Tbilisi-Rustavi route fare price inceased by20 white, the students demand to establish preferential tariff - 75 tetri .

Later, students moved from the street into the city hall building. Young people announce permanent protest actions. They said that if their demands are not satisfied, they do not exclude blocking the City Hall and the City Council building.

It is possible that local residents will join the protests of young people.

The local government said that at this point the introduction of student fees is not envisaged in the budget, only 66 vulnerable students` travel expenses will be funded, while there are more than 4 thousand students in the city .

Rustavi students will gather once again in front of City Hall. The protesters are calling on the local population to support them .
