Ucha Nanuashvili stated that no new serious tend had been observed in 2016. The report says that problems still existed in terms of effective investigation of cases, including ill-treatment.

According to him, the situation in the judicial system has not changed; problems remain with regard to the minority rights, violence against women, hate crime. In this context, Ucha Nanuashvili mentioned the death of a transgender woman. The report reviews problems in all directions, including the issues of the conflict regions, as well as the rights situation of children, poverty, violence against children and infant death cases.

In addition, the report touches upon the lack of minimal standards of labour safety and the monitoring system.
