Optimization plan to overcome the crisis - NGOs are talking about a possible dismissal on political motives

The government`s new plan to save lari is sacrificing the employees of the state structures . The optimization of budget organizations has started. According to free trade unions, the total number of dismissed employees reaches 30 thousand people, which the state has to pay a 2-month compensation. However, officials in the Ministry ask the employees to leave the jobs on their own will in order to economize on compensations.

Trade unions criticize the labor laws and planned staff reductions .

The government"s decision to cut about 10 percent is not clear to the NGOs . Their part believes that reduction may be carried out on political motives.
