Electricity tariff depends on today`s decision of Regulatory Commission

Whether the cost of electricity will increase for citizens - that depends on today`s decision of the regulatory commission. Commission members will discuss the increase of price for hydro powerstations.

Tariffs for several of the largest hydroelectric powerstations has been increased already. The Commission intends to review the rates of ten more hydroelectric owned by Energo-Pro Georgia.

The regulatory commission has already issued a permission to four thermal power station to increase the priceThe commission will discuss the electricity tariffs for the population at the meeting scheduled for December 26.
