The competition for the vacant position of the Director of Public Broadcaster was announced a few days ago. At the decision of the board, the competition regulations  have been amended.

So far, the list of required documents has changed and it is no longer required from the contestants to present the drug test certificate . None of the Board members explain what the decision is related to.
Media Experts observe the competition process for selecting the GPB Director. The non-governmental organizations say who will be the head of broadcaster will be a key factor in maintaining the broadcater`s political independence, in case of selecting of some of the candidates participating in the competition, they see a threat of political pressure.
