In the light of recent developments a visit of the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Janos Herman to Rustavi 2 was a gesture of support. The European diplomat toured the building and television studios and met with Rustavi2 employees.

EU Ambassador spoke about the importance of the independent and pluralistic media for the country.

"Television is the people who work here. This is a team that from our perspective is of great importance, we assess not only the professionalism, but also the quality of the team, we are proud that we have been cooperating for quite a time. We have two messages, it is cooperation and principles. Our most important principle is judicial independenceand we have been working to strengthen the independence of the judiciary and continuation of the judicial reform, have our own opinions, but we look at them from the angle of our principles that we share with Georgia- that is the freedom of media, judicial independence and the rule of law , "- Herman said.
