Fighting for freedom of expression - rally will be held in support of "Rustavi 2"

Fighting for the freedom of expression - 8 political parties will express their protest in the street against government`s pressure on Rustavi 2 and current processes.

The march will start from the Rustaveli subway statio at 2 pm and end at the building of the Supreme Court.

"It should be a wide horizontal front against this regime," - said Deputy Chairman of the National Movement, Zaza Bibilashvili.

Coordination Council consisting of a political party and set up at the initiative of the Movement New Unity for Georgia is planning to hold permanent rallies in case the Supreme Court issues an unfair verdict.

Coordinating Council parties think that pressure on Rustavi 2 is purposefully implemented. They believe that freedom of speech in Georgia is in danger.

"If there will be no freedom of speech, we will have no state," - said the founder of the new movements, Mamuka Gamkrelidze.
