The non-parliamentary opposition, including the Free Democrats responded to Rustavi 2case . They are calling on the Supreme Court to issue a decision in the framework of the law.

"We have been waiting for a long time for this session, because as we know, any kind of deadline for making a decision has passed. We would like to believe that, and to urge the Supreme Court judges to take a decision according to the law and constitution and not be subjected to political pressure, which for so long has accompanied Rustavi 2 case. Only then will it be possible to keep the perspective of the freedom of speech and democratic development of the country , "- said Nino Goguadze.

Comments were made by the Labour Party political secretary Giorgi Gugava, who said that "Rustavi 2 case has been ordered by the state."

"The Supreme Court"s decision will define whether there is a free trial and justice in this country, whetherthe freedom of speech is protected . If they do not take it into account and render an illegal decision, it would lead to destabilization in the country, "- said GiorgiGugava.
